Responsibilities

Gunsmiths have many responsibilities:

• Fit action and barrel into stock and align parts.
• Install parts, such as metallic or optical sights.
• Immerse metal parts in a bluing salt bath to impart a blue color to the metal, as well as protect the metal from corrosion.
• Fire firearms with proof loads to determine strength characteristics, correct alignment, and assembly of pieces.
• Fabricate wooden stocks for guns according to customer specifications.
• Refinish wooden stocks

Specializations

While some gunsmiths are general practitioners in this trade, the more important specializations are:

Custom Builder/Designer - Builds guns to customer’s specification, from raw materials and shelf parts. Called upon by professional target-shooters to create highly accurate custom rifles. Likely the most highly skilled of gunsmiths, as they are required not only to have proficiency in the other areas of gunsmithing, but must also be well educated in machining, in order to manufacture the individual components and springs before assembly takes place.

Refinisher - Applies various chemical and heat-treatment processes to the metal parts of guns to develop nice colored surfaces: browning, bluing, Parkerization, and others. Finishes are also important from a practical standpoint as they harden the metal against uncontrolled rust and corrosion.

Stockmaker - Carves gun stocks from wood. Fits stocks to the metal parts of the gun (receiver and barrel), as well as to customer’s body. Sanding, staining, oiling, and lacquering may be used to finish the wood surface.

Checkerer - Uses checkering tools to create an ornate pattern of small raised diamonds in the wood surfaces which are to be gripped. This specialization is frequently combined with that of the Stockmaker.

Gun Engraver - Uses hand-gravers or die-sinker’s chisels to cut designs or pictures into the metal surfaces of the gun, usually limited to the receiver. Other metals (especially gold and silver) may be inlaid and engraved to further the design. Designs usually consist of elaborate scroll-work based upon Acanthus leaves or vines, or may be of purely abstract spirals. The pictures are usually of game animals or birds, and hunting dogs.

Pistolsmith - Specializes in work on semi-automatic pistols and revolvers. Pistolsmiths usually are proficient in a range of skills such as woodworking, checkering, machining, metal finishing and metalworking and must have an excellent understanding of the mechanical characteristics and function of the guns they work on. Often a pistolsmith is called on for extensive customization of a handgun and a good pistolsmith can turn a poorly constructed firearm into one that looks and handles much better.

In recent times, there has been a subset of program trading called algorithmic trading. This is when a computer program takes a large order, breaks it up into small pieces (typically 100-300 shares per piece), and gradually submits these pieces to the market. The goal is to complete the order without other market participants realizing that a large trade is in progress, because they would change their behaviour (and thus the price) to the detriment of the program trader if they recognized a large trade.

Through the 1970s and early 1980s, computers were becoming more important on Wall Street. They allowed instantaneous execution of orders to buy or sell large batches of stocks and futures; and the novelty of program trading is the most popular explanation for the 1987 crash. Many blamed program trading strategies for blindly selling stocks as markets fell, exacerbating the decline.

Program trading is extremely popular in hedge funds, where traders automate sophisticated strategies that would be difficult to put into practice without computer assistance. Computers also allow traders to test their strategies against historical data in an attempt to predict and optimize them for future conditions.

Equilibria can be classified by looking at the signs of the eigenvalues of the linearization of the equations about the equilibria. Then the behavior of the system in the neighborhood of each equilibrium point can be qualitatively determined, (or even quantitatively determined, in some instances, by finding the eigenvector(s) associated with each eigenvalue).

An equilibrium point is hyperbolic if none of the eigenvalues have zero real part. If all eigenvalues have negative real part, the equilibrium is a stable node. If all have positive real part, the equilibrium is an unstable node. If at least one eigenvalue has negative real part and at least one has positive real part, the equilibrium is a saddle point.

Posture collars typically flare widely at the front to reach from the chin down to the collarbone, preventing the wearer from hanging their head or looking downward. Such collars are typically made from leather, but may also be made from metal, rubber or plastics such as PVC. Posture collars are often decorated, and may include other bondage elements such as locking closures, decorative spikes or D-rings for attaching restraints.

It is a popular myth that women in the BDSM scene are highly sexed and easily manipulated, mostly due to images created in BDSM pornography aimed at a largely vanilla audience. In fact, women in the BDSM scene tend to be more discriminating and cautious than the general population.

Specifications

The System 24 used two Motorola 68000 processors at 10 MHz. One was for booting, while the other was used by the game. The board holds 1360KB of RAM and 256KB of ROM. It was the first Sega arcade system that required a medium resolution arcade monitor. The color palette was 4352 selectable from 32,768. The system could support up to 2048 sprites on-screen at once.

Sound was driven by a YM2151 at 4MHz; it was capable of delivering 8 channels of FM sound in addition to a DAC used for sound effects and speech synthesis. Early System 24s loaded their program from floppy disks. Later, some games such as Bonanza Bros. used CD-ROMs or hardware ROM boards to store games. No matter which storage device was used, a special security chip was required for each game an operator wanted to play.

Probably built around 1781, it was named Stocks after the village stocks that stood nearby. The mill operated for 120 years up to the beginning of the 20th century. No mill machinery remains but there is a well-preserved roundhouse.

The mill has recently undergone a further major renovation by Kent County Council, with help from the National Lottery and it was reopened to the public in 2004.

Many houses in North America, Australia and Europe have at least two bedrooms – usually a master bedroom (dedicated to the heads of the household, such as a husband and wife) and one or more bedrooms for either the children or guests.

In some jurisdictions there are basic features (such as a closet and a “means of egress”) which a room must have in order to be qualify as a bedroom. According to Zillow,

Generally, bedrooms are defined as having a minimum of 70 square feet of usable space, with a window and closet. A bedroom may be below ground level. A room cannot be considered a bedroom if it is used to access another room, unless the other room is a bathroom.[1]

Nevertheless, some real estate agents may stretch the definition when listing a home for sale.

In buildings with multiple self-contained housing units (e.g., apartments), the number of bedrooms vary widely. While many such units have at least one bedroom—frequently, these units have at least two—some of these units may not have a specific room dedicated for use as a bedroom. In June 2005, nineteen female soldiers and sailors participated in the competition (entitled “Beauties in Shoulder Straps”), which was broadcast on live television. The event, held at Moscow’s Russian Army Theatre, included the soldiers walking down the catwalk in uniform and singing songs while accompanied by guitarists (a memorable lyric included the phrases, “Since we’re soldiers, our first concern is automatic weapons; boys come second”). A children’s choir sang a song called “Our Army Is the Strongest”. Other events, shown on film, saw the contestants competing in drills, crawling in combat uniform, entering tanks, and running with automatic weapons. (Defense officials prohibited the wearing of bikinis.) Other film clips showed women in the ranks of the earlier Red Army and their role in Soviet-era wars. The jury ultimately gave the title to Lieutenant Ksenya Agarkova, an engineer with Russia’s Northern Fleet. Her image will be reproduced on a poster.

Officials were quite open about the hoped-for propaganda and recruiting value of the contest. Colonel Gennady Dzyuba, of the Defense Ministry, said, “Those who have served, especially in hot spots, know the importance of women — they calm the team down. We restrain ourselves in front of them, desist from coarseness.” A former Miss Army said that because of the falling prestige of the Russian army, such a high-visibility contest makes men “want to join”. Major General Nikolai Burbyga, the head juror, while expressing doubt over the recruiting benefits of the competition, admitted, “It kind of invigorates life — everyday life is very monotonous.”

Whilst it looks similar to a needle it is heavier; like needles the regulator comes in various gauges and lengths. It is used to poke through the various layers to adjust the stuffing before the final cover is put in place.

A related tool is the stuffing iron, which is used to push the stuffing into the curves and corners of a piece of furniture; it has a narrow piece of steel with one toothed edge to grab loose stuffing and place it in the hard to reach spots.

In more recent years, it has been applied to ways of restraining humans as well. Such restraints are employed in sexual bondage and by police forces.

Definition

The hogtie when used on pigs and cattle has the limbs tied in front; it is not possible to tie them behind without harming the animal. When performed on a human, however, a hogtie is any position that results in the arms and legs being bound, including behind the person.

The term also applies figuratively to an instance where a person has said or done something which has unpleasant consequences, and from which they are unable to escape.

Use in bondage and torture

In hogtie bondage, the practice of sexual bondage named for it, the person who is being tied up is lain down flat on their belly, with ankles and wrists tied together behind the person’s back.

A particularly dangerous variation of the hogtie has been used to torture and kill its victim: the hands are tied behind the back and the feet are tied together, with one end of the rope around the victim’s neck. The tension on the neck-rope can only be relieved if the victim keeps their neck, back and legs arched; eventually, the victim tires and strangles. This is sometimes referred to as the Italian rope trick and has been used by the Mafia.

The group Turkish Hezbollah is known to hogtie its victims while torturing them. [1]

It is a form of outercourse or non-penetrative sex and, not involving the exchange of bodily fluids, is a type of safer sex.

The manual stimulation of a female’s sex organs is usually called fingering, although sometimes “handjob” is used to refer to this act as well.

Overview

A common handjob technique - First, the giving partner grips the receiving partner’s penis with their entire hand similar to making a fist (except the fist is made around the penis). An alternative grip is to use only a couple fingers wrapped around the penis. Second, the giving partner moves their hand in an up and down motion, which causes stimulation to the shaft and glans (head) of the penis. Some people prefer to use lubrication to prevent friction on the penis. There are many other techniques that can be used, and some involve the use of both hands. Because each individual male is different, it generally takes patience and practice on behalf of both partners before the most pleasurable hand technique is discovered.

Handjobs may or may not end in ejaculation or orgasm; they may or may not constitute the entire sexual encounter. They may be part of foreplay or part of or a precursor to other sexual activities. They can provide sexual pleasure to a partner when penetrative intercourse is not possible or desirable.

Little physical effort is required for a handjob, and the male is not distracted by the effort of thrusting or the need to stimulate his partner’s sexual organs. A handjob can incorporate a large amount of stimulation and variety and, as with other forms of sexual stimulation, the giving partner can receive significant pleasure and sexual arousal from the act of providing pleasure to their partner, with only the hand. Performing a handjob can be exciting for the giver as well because they can directly control and observe the sexual excitement and physical reactions of their partner.

Prevalence in massage parlours

According to a 1975 study by A.J. Velarde, in an unnamed west-coast city in the United States, provision of a “hand job”, where the woman masturbated the client, was one of the services female masseuses were employed to give. Subsequent newspaper publicity of this practice caused local councils to impose licensing requirements upon masseuses similar to the ones used on prostitutes. This licensing led to increased expectations in massage parlour clients, who expected that more than a hand job would be available, that is, sexual intercourse. Because the masseuses themselves considered that they had nothing to lose in acting as prostitutes, and because the local council treated them as prostitutes, anyway, masseuses often complied, and thus attracted more prostitution to the city.

Nomenclature

The term “handjob” is often considered a slang or informal word rather than a clinical term. Therefore, some people take offense to the word when used in general conversation. An academic article would usually refer to a handjob as manual stimulation of a male partner, masturbating a male partner, or manual sex to a penis.

Manual stimulation of the penis by another individual may also informally be called:

• H.J. – An abbreviated form of “Hand Job”.
• Happy ending – If it follows a full-body massage usually performed at a massage parlor. [1]

• Over the pants Handjob - More commonly known as the OTPHJ, this less intimate version of the handjob allows a woman to give a man a handjob without going through the fuss of taking his pants and underwear off. It is also more convenient in situations where nudity would be inappropriate. The obvious downside of the OTPHJ is the unsightly wet mark in the crotch area, and the uncomfortable sticky feeling in the man’s pants.

There are consequences to not releasing voting rights to common shareholders; these include fewer supplicants for a friendly takeover, displeased shareholders as a result of the corporation’s limited growth potential, and difficulty finding bidders for additional non-voting shares in the market.

History

In the early 1960s the Niger Dam Authorities (NDA) and Electricity Cooperation amalgamated to form the Electricity Cooperation of Nigeria (ECN). Then, immediately after the Nigerian civil war the management of ECN changed its nomenclature to NEPA. What is currently called the Power Holding Company of Nigeria was formally known as National Electric Power Authority.

Local distribution companies

Turbo-Basic XL is an advanced version of BASIC for the Atari 8-bit family of home computers. It is a compatible superset of the more common ATARI BASIC whose most important feature is the vastly improved execution speed. A Turbo-Basic XL compiler was also made available that created binary executables (for further speeding up program performance).

Among the extra features of Turbo-Basic XL, added to ATARI BASIC, are the following:

• simple debugging facilities
